Agriculture
Agriculture is the main occupation in the Gorkha region, majority are small and marginal farmers. These are the Foundation's main objectives:

- increase farm productivity by planting better fodder trees; and
- train farmers with advanced technologies.

Livestock Development
Goat and buffalo production are the most important sources of income to poor farmers who are unable to invest in large ruminants. The Foundation provides support to farmers, mainly in the Dalit community, by distributing goats and buffalos with complete package of health, nutrition, breeding and management practices. This helps transform production from the subsistence nature towards a commercial production. |
 |
Pasture and Fodder Development
Improved fodder-based nutrition is vital to the farming community. The Foundation assists the farmers in forage cultivation. The main objective is to raise the income of these farmers by increasing milk production of buffalos and meat production of goats. Pasture and fodder development also improves the environmental and ecological conditions of the region. |
 |
Primary and Secondary Education
The Foundation partners with local communities to build new schools and maintain existing schools. The Foundation provides instructional material and computers on a needed basis. |
 |
Other Income Generating Activities
